Turnover Tax deadline was extended to 30 April 20109 March 2010 -- Turnover Tax is a simple tax that was introduced for small businesses. The objective is to reduce the tax compliance and administrative burden by simplifying and reducing the number of returns that have to be filed.
PAYE future changes to the monthly employer declaration (EMP201) 11 February 2010 - Employers will enjoy the advantage of a simplified form, which means fewer resources spent on the monthly declaration process. When the new EMP201 form comes into effect you need only make one payment for PAYE, SDL and UIF. The form will also allow you to adjust previous declarations and reallocate credit amounts to other periods.

ALERT - SCAM WARNING FROM SARS
Don’t respond to fake emails or websites! Taxpayers should be on the alert for fake emails from an address returns@sars.co.za or refunds@sars.co.za which inform them of refunds to be paid into their back accounts.
The link in the email then links to a spoofed (fake) website that looks very similar to the SARS website. Please ignore these emails and please do not enter any details into these websites.
Taxpayers should report all suspicious incidents to the SARS anti-corruption hotline on 0800 00 2870.
